Monthly veterans coffee heads to Truist Point

Apr. 12—HIGH POINT — The Heroes Center, a local nonprofit that assists area veterans, will host its monthly coffee session at Truist Point, home of the High Point Rockers professional baseball team, on Monday. Doors open at 8 a.m. and the program starts at 9 a.m.

Veterans will be welcomed and honored by a High Point Fire Department ladder truck and flag and the High Point Police Department SWAT Bearcat vehicle.

Also on Monday's program is Jodi Saber, director of Growing High Point, and Edith Brady, director of the High Point Museum.

Attendees also will get a look at the Row of Honor at Truist Point, a special seating area for veterans. The Rockers, in partnership with the Heroes Center and Deuterman Law Group, provide five complimentary tickets to home games for veterans and their guests.
