Caron Treatment Centers

Caron Treatment Centers has announced the appointment of Dr. Adam Scioli, to the position of chief medical officer. Scioli will serve on Caron’s executive leadership team, reporting directly to Caron Chief Executive Officer John Driscoll.

As chief medical officer, Scioli will oversee all medical services at Caron, including psychiatry, psychology and neuropsychology as well as Caron’s expanded neurocognitive services. Caron currently operates two addiction-focused medical centers — The Carol and Ray Neag Center in Pennsylvania and The Keele Center in Florida. Scioli also oversees Caron’s research program at the Fran and Doug Tieman Center for Research, as well as the Addiction Medicine Fellowship program and Caron’s medical education efforts.

Scioli is also a leader on Caron’s interdisciplinary neurorestorative health program which focuses on optimizing and restoring brain health functionality compromised by substance use and issues such as trauma, anxiety and depression.

Scioli has been a medical leader at Caron Treatment Centers since July 2015, most recently serving as the corporate medical director and head of psychiatry at Caron.

Scioli is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, N.Y. and later completed his psychiatry residency training at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he was chief resident for two years and was conferred the title of Distinguished Laughlin Fellow for professional achievement, dedication and scholarship. Scioli simultaneously completed fellowship training through the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia, where his work focused on the relationship between addiction and attachment.

Scioli is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. Additionally, he is board-certified in addiction medicine through the American Board of Prevention Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. He is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a fellow of both the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine. He also serves as secretary/treasurer on the board of trustees of the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine and as board chairman of the International Doctors in Alcoholics Anonymous.

Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County

Tiffany Micale has been elected to serve on the board of directors of Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County (BCSS).

As the current branch manager and assistant vice president of M&T Bank in Birdsboro, Micale has dedicated the last 21 years to building strong connections and meaningful relationships with local small businesses and non-profit organizations to reach their financial goals. Additionally, she has been serving as the treasurer of the Liberty Fire Company Social Quarters for the past six years.

Before joining the BCSS board of directors, Micale was a volunteer on the finance committee at BCSS and will continue to serve on that committee. As a member of the finance committee, she works closely with the board treasurer and other committee members, to review and supply guidance for BCSS’s financial matters. With her extensive financial background, she can advise and ensure internal controls, independent audits, and financial analysis for BCSS are conducted promptly and accurately.

Micale is a graduate of Holy Name High School and Alvernia University. She credits her daughter Ella, who was two at the time, for unknowingly saving her life. Without her actions, Micale might not have been diagnosed with breast cancer until it was too late. She is thankful for the support and guidance that BCSS provided to her, and her fiancé Dan.

Entech Engineering

Entech Engineering Inc. has announced two recent hires.

Shawn Fassl joins the company as an environmental scientist and a member of Entech’s management services team.

Fassl has worked with both the Lehigh and Berks County Conservation Districts as well as the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. He has performed assessments for streams, watersheds, Best Management Practices (BMPs) and erosion and sedimentation controls as well as oversight of Chapter 102 and 105 permitting and MS4 investigations.

Fassl is a graduate of Keystone College in LaPlume, Pa. with a bachelor’s degree in environmental resource management. He recently completed coursework to become a qualified wetland and stream delineator. He is the founder of the Keystone Creek Walkers, a Trout Unlimited-affiliated fly fishing and conservation club.

Karl Leitner, PE joins the company as a project manager, serving as the team leader for stormwater services.

Leitner brings 12 years of experience in land development and stormwater management. He is experienced with municipal MS4 engineering, campus planning, phased development, stream restorations and providing consulting for potential development. His addition is a pivotal step in expanding Entech’s stormwater management services.

Leitner is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Greene Tweed

Shawn McCloskey has been named chief commercial officer of Greene Tweed, a leading global manufacturer of high-performance sealing solutions and engineered components. McCloskey brings more than 16 years of cross-functional leadership to his new position, where he will oversee global sales, sales support, sales operations, marketing, market-backed industry strategies and market expansion teams in alignment with driving the company’s strategic direction.

Previously, McCloskey was senior business director at the Chemours Co., where he managed sales, marketing, product management, customer service, and demand management teams accountable for leading overall strategy and record business growth of the Thermal and Specialized Solutions (TSS) businesses across the Americas.

McCloskey served over 12 years at DuPont and its spin-off, Chemours. His tenure included five years in leadership roles within DuPont’s Fluoropolymer Operations. At Chemours, he spearheaded the company’s transition as a new independent entity.

McCloskey began his career with Celanese as a process improvement engineer and operations unit manager after receiving his B.S. in chemical engineering from Virginia Tech. He also holds an MBA from Ohio University, in addition to being proficient in Six Sigma & Lean methodologies.
