Environmental Health Services

The purpose of the Merced County Division of Environmental Health is to protect the health, safety and well-being of the public, and to preserve and improve the quality of the environment.

Environmental Health is concerned with those elements in the environment that affect a person's well being. The "environment" includes everything around us; the house we live in, the places where we work and play, the food we eat, and the water we drink, to name only a few.
